The Barbanera almanac

The most famous almanac in Italy, published in Foligno since the mid-18th century, it is still very popular today.
Because of its popularity and its widespread distribution (even in the early days), it is considered synonymous with the almanac.
Offering advice and practical information for everyday life, it was an instant publishing success. Sold in fairs and markets by street traders, chimney sweeps and storytellers, it has been produced over the centuries by a number of printers throughout Italy. With a long and exciting publishing history, it has been published exclusively by Campi since the mid-20th century. It still combines the typical content of the literary genre with the new topics that guide readers in changing times.
A gauge and reflection of the times it reflects, the Barbanera almanac constantly balances tradition and new issues, and has been read by such illustrious people as Gabriele D'Annunzio and Emilio Cecchi.
